SOCIO-ECONOMIC RESEARCH OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract

The academic, professional and cultural development of university students does not only take place in the classroom. For this reason, a better recognition of the target audience can be achieved with profile researches carried out in order to determine the views of the student about the family, educational institution and place of residence. Such studies and the profile of the students who are the subject of the study are of great importance due to the developments in science and technology from past to present and the changes in the structure of society due to globalization. This research is important as it will shed light on the lifestyles, perspectives, and economic situations of university youth. Knowing the profile of the young population, especially the university youth, will shed light on the future of the country. In my research, I wanted to determine the socio-economic profile of university students. This research is Survey Type research. With the survey method, the degree of occurrence of a behavior or an attitude in a society or a certain group and how they relate to factors such as age, gender, education level, social, etc. are investigated. The research is descriptive and the data will be collected through a questionnaire. In order to create the theoretical dimension of the study, the literature review on the subject will be made, and the data obtained through the questionnaire will be evaluated in the application dimension of the subject.   In the study, a questionnaire consisting of 45 questions was used as a data collection tool. Survey 936 1. It was applied to the class student. There are questions about the personal information of the candidates, their socio-economic status, their educational processes and their reasons for choosing the field. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a relationship on the socio-economic profile of university students on the department they studied, environment, age, gender, economic status, and the type of high school they graduated from.
