Mentor Editorial Program – Call for Applications

24.10.2025
Program Objectives
  • To support early-career researchers in developing academic writing skills,

  • To contribute to the production of publishable-quality scientific articles,

  • To promote a collaborative, reflective, and learning-oriented scholarly community.

Eligibility and Application
  • The program is open to authors who are preparing or publishing their first three academic articles.

  • Applications should be made during manuscript submission.

  • In the “Notes to the Editor” section of the submission form, authors should include the following information:

    • The statement: “I would like to benefit from the Mentor Editorial Program.”

    • A brief note on previous academic publications (if any),

    • Specific areas where mentorship is desired (e.g., methodology, structure, academic writing),

    • A short explanation of the motivation for applying to the program.

Matching Process

Applications will be evaluated by the Editorial Board, and eligible authors will be matched with a mentor editor based on subject relevance.
The mentorship continues until the manuscript is developed and ready for submission to the peer-review process.
After this stage, the manuscript proceeds through the journal’s standard review system.

Communication Protocol

All communication between the author and the mentor editor must take place exclusively through the “Discussion” section within the journal’s online submission system.
This ensures that all correspondence is properly recorded, transparent, and compliant with ethical standards.
Direct communication through email or external channels is discouraged.

Ethical Principles
  • Mentor editors provide constructive guidance and feedback only; they are not responsible for the article’s content.

  • Mentor editors are not involved in the peer-review process of the mentored article.

  • The mentorship process is conducted with full confidentiality and adherence to academic integrity principles.

Acknowledgment

Manuscripts developed under this program should include a note of appreciation in the acknowledgment section, such as:

“This study was developed with the mentorship support of [Editor’s Name] as part of the International Society that Learn Journal Mentor Editorial Program.”

Program Duration

The mentorship process typically lasts 4–8 weeks from the date of submission.
The program operates twice a year – in the Spring and Autumn terms.
